Win a Free Month Stay with Southern Resorts Vacation Rentals’ Southern Beach Tour

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

Destin, FL – Ever dream of being a travel writer? Are you someone who blogs and interacts on the social networks? If so, Southern Resorts Vacation Rentals has the endeavor for you. Promoting the Southern Beach Tour, this proven leader in Florida vacation rentals will let some lucky winner stay free in a variety of properties along the coast for an entire month, October 8 – November 8, 2010. The properties are predetermined and the timing corresponds with some wonderful Fall festivals and attractions at the beach. The catch is the winner must attend the events, explore their Southern Perks amenities and be willing and able to share their experience with the outside world via blog, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.

Does that sound like something you can do? Stay in a beach property and attend fun events for free? If so, visit the rules and regulations online and begin the process. An application and essay about why you would be the best person for the assignment are the start to enter the contest. With a little luck and skillful writing, you could be chosen to stay in some of the best Florida vacation rentals, while enjoying happenings such as the Seeing Red Wine Festival in the Beaches of South Walton, Destin Fishing Rodeo, the Seafood, Wine and Music Festival in Panama City Beach, the Blast on the Bay Songwriters’ Festival in the Forgotten Coast and more.

Fall is one of the most beautiful times at the beach along Northwest Florida’s gulf coast. Still warm weather, crystal clear water and low daily rates make it the perfect time for a quick getaway or Fall break. “With all of the publicity related to the oil spill and our beaches, we want to spread the word that the beaches in our region are as beautiful as ever and what better way than through the eyes of someone actually experiencing it first hand,” states Kevin Veach, one of the owners of Southern Resorts.
Soon, one lucky winner will get to experience firsthand the uniqueness and lure of this region in the Fall.

The Florida vacation rentals including condos, homes and cottages represented by Southern Resorts can be found in these Florida Gulf Coast beach communities: Pensacola Beach, Navarre Beach, Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Beaches of South Walton, Panama City Beach, Mexico Beach, WindMark Beach and Port St. Joe. Deadline is Fast Approaching for MomandDadCamping.com’s Great Summer Contest for Kids

Monday, August 30th, 2010

Now that the summer is almost over it is a good time to recall all those exciting camping trips and adventures and put them into writing. Hopefully most kids got a chance to enjoy the outdoors one way or the other, perhaps by going camping or backpacking with family. All kids are invited to participate in a contest for the “most awesome summer story”. This contest, first announced at the end of June, will end on September 15. There is still plenty of time to write and submit the story to be published on MomandDadCamping website.

Beata Antoszek from MomandDadCamping.com says: ”Before the new school year begins and classmates meet again, it is time to remember the good times, look at the vacation pictures again and put words to paper. Many first days at school are spent talking about the best summer adventures. Many kids brag about their achievements and new skills that they acquired during the summer, like learning to swim or catching that big fish. It is easier to write about them while memories are still fresh.”

All stories will be published on the MomandDadCamping.com website and the winners will be featured in their Newsletter. There will be two age categories: up to 12 years of age and 13 to 16 years of age, with one winner in each group.

Beata adds:”Back to school is an exciting time for children. Now they have to say good-bye to the summer and hello to new friends and teachers. More time will be spend indoors, but the fond memories of the great outdoors remain. We would like to see some of those memories as stories and we are willing to publish them on our website for all to read. So encourage your children to write a short story, up to 350 words, and even submit it for them to our e-mail address. It really doesn’t take much time and is a great practice before school gets into a full swing.”

MomandDadCamping.com is Reminding about the Great Contest for Kids

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

Now that the summer reached its midpoint some vacation memories were already made and some are still waiting to happen. Many kids already went camping, fishing or canoeing with their families. All of them are invited to take part in a contest for the “most awesome summer story”.

Beata Antoszek from MomandDadcamping.com says: ”This is a contest for kids up to 16 years of age. It encourages their creativity and independent thinking. It is also a great way to practice writing skills during the summer months, when a lot of knowledge learned at school is idle or being forgotten. Now is a good time to put it in use in a fun way.”

The contest, first announced at the end of June, encourages children to write their own story about their most awesome summer adventure. Preferably it would be a story about a camping trip adventure, but other stories about outdoors and nature are also welcome. For full details about contest requirements go here.

Beata adds: ”We all love summer, but kids love it the most. It is their hard earned rest time and play time. Most kids have some wonderful memories they like to share with their families and friends back home, but they may need some encouragement to write about it. It is their parents’ job to give them a nudge to put words to paper. We would like to see some funny and inspiring stories from children, to see the world through their eyes again.”

All entrants will be rewarded by being published on the MomandDadCamping.com website. The two winners will get digital cameras. Maybe next year they will be able to enter a photo contest.
